Applicable Artifacts
  • Artifacts owned by the museum or equivalent materials
Eligibility
  • Any employee of a public, educational, academic or research institution who wishes to browse artifacts with a clear purpose related to cultural or academic research.
  • A researcher who holds a master’s or higher degree and has a clear purpose related to academic research.
  • A person who has completed a master’s program (only among those recommended by the head of the relevant department) and has a clear purpose related to writing a dissertation.
Browse Service Hours
  • During the working hours of the museum staff on Monday
  • Browse frequency, number of artifacts, and browse time may be limited to ensure safe management of the artifacts and equal browse opportunities for users.
Guidelines
  • Those wishing to browse the museum’s collection must fill out (without leaving any blanks) and submit an application for permission to browse the museum’s collection, together with the required documents.
  • It is permitted to photograph the museum’s artifacts for personal research purposes; however, the use of lighting and other equipment is strictly prohibited
  • Photos intended for reproduction in a publication, such as a thesis, may only be used after obtaining and submitting an application for permission to reproduce
  • Viewers must comply with the instructions of the relevant public servant for safety management when handling artifacts.
  • The Buyeo National Museum holds the copyright and other legal rights to photos taken during viewing. Any secondary reproduction of photos, including their use for purposes other than the permitted purpose or transfer to others, is strictly prohibited.
  • In the event that the viewer damages the artifacts, other facilities or equipment, he/she must compensate such damages as prescribed by the Director of the Museum.

Definition of Reproduction
  • Photography, measurement, replication of artifacts, and use of related photographic materials.
Reproduction Service Hours

Guidelines
  • Those who wish to reproduce images of the museum’s collection must submit an application for permission for reproduction five days before the day of reproduction.
  • Those who wish to reproduce images of the museum’s collection must comply with the instructions of the relevant public servant for safety management of the artifacts.
  • When using reproduced materials, the user must clearly state that they are reproductions of the museum’s artifacts and submit the relevant documentary proof to the museum.
  • It is not permitted to use reproduced materials of artifacts for any purpose other than the permitted purpose, or to make any secondary reproduction of the artifacts.
  • When reproducing the museum’s artifacts, users must use the lighting system provided by the museum for the safety of the collection.
  • In the event that a user damages any of the artifacts, other facilities or equipment, he/she must compensate such damages as prescribed by the Director of the Museum.
  • For photographic reproductions, applications are limited to a maximum of twenty artifacts per week in order to ensure equal opportunities for users.
